Gloria T. Alexandrowicz, 88 of Lester died on July 9, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family.  Born in Shenandoah, PA, the daughter of the late Walter and Sophie Rodichok Demelko, she grew up in Southwest Philadelphia before moving to Lester in 1963.
Gloria attended St. Clement's Parish Grade School and was a graduate of John Bartram High School, class of 1952.  Before her retirement she was employed as a Teacher's Aide at Tinicum Elementary School and had previously worked at General Electric and Southco.  In addition to being a member of St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church, she served on the Board of Health in Tinicum Township, as a Judge of Elections and was President of the Tinicum Senior Citizens for five years.  Gloria was an avid reader and always had a good book, but most important to her was her family.
She was the loving wife of the late Leopold J. "Leo" Alexandrowicz who died on July 29, 2002 after 49 years of marriage.  She was the mother of Gloria Carfagno (Jerry), Stephen Alexandrowicz (Donna) and Michael Alexandrowicz (Christine); grandmother of Jennifer McGillis (Neil), Jaclyn Chisamore (Seth), Michelle G. Alexandrowicz (Ezequiel), Amanda Alexandrowicz (Sam) and Maria Alexandrowicz (Erin); sister of the late Rheta Lythgoe and Joan Scholtz and is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Funeral Mass 10:30 AM Saturday, July 15, 2023 at St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church, 1901 Chester Pike, Eddystone where relatives and friends may call 9:15 to 10:15 AM.  Burial SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
