Gladys Shadle Stutzman, 90 of Media died January 15, 2011 at Harlee Manor Nursing Home.

Born in Fountain, PA she lived in Collingdale for 53 years before moving to Media four years ago.

Mrs. Stutzman was a technician for hearing and vision at the Collingdale School District for twenty years, retiring in 1980.

A graduate of Hegins High School, Class of 1937, she loved music, sewing, gardening and was an avid reader but most important to her was time spent with her family, where she previously enjoyed time sledding with her grandchildren and taking her granddaughter to concerts and the ballet.

She was an Official Guide to the Philadelphia Bicentennial Commision, and active member of the Delaware County Choral Society and the Ridley Community Chorus.

Mrs. Stutzman was daughter of the late Homer A. and Carrie Stutzman Shadle, wife of the late Earl R. Stutzman, her husband of 63 years at the time of his death on January 25, 2005 and sister of the late Melvin Shadle, Wayne Shadle, Kenneth Shadle and Russell Shadle.

grandchildren; Joseph Philiposian (Theresia), Christopher Philiposian (Samantha), Lynn D. Bettcher, Timothy Philiposian and four great-grandchildren.
