Obituary

Gladys T. Falcone Nasella, 79, of Ridley Park, died December 23, 2013 at Presbyterian Hospital. Born in Philadelphia, daughter of the late Falco and Elisabeta Celona Falcone, she lived in South Philadelphia prior to moving to her late residence in 1955.

Gladys graduated in the top 25 of her class at Hallahan High School. After high school she chose to attend Keystone Business School, and worked at Bell Telephone until she married the love of her life. Gladys was a crossing guard at Stewart Avenue in Ridley Park and would greet everyone with her signature smile and "Hi Doll". Gladys was a member of the Ridley Park Seniors and was an avid Phillies Fan. She enjoyed going to the casinos, Hedgegrow Theater, her pool and garden and especially spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandson.

She was sister of the late Emanuella Brady, Falco Falcone, Jr. and Frank Falcone, grandmother of the late Laura Jean Miller and aunt of the late Elizabeth Formelio.

Survivors: the love of her life and husband of 59 years James P. Nasella, Sr., mother of Susan A. Miller (Robert), James P. Nasella, Jr. (Carole), Paul J. Nasella, Sr. (Barbara), Ann Demkin (late Stephen) and Steven P. Nasella (Maryann), sister of Elizabeth Falcone and Rosemary Formelio (Vincent), also 12 grandchildren and a great-grandson.

Funeral Mass: 11 AM Monday at The Church of St. Madeline, Penn St. and Morton Ave., Ridley Park where friends may call from 9:15 to 10:45 AM.

Burial: SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.
