1939-2017
Gisele A. "Gizzy" Goldenberg Wasno, 77 of Upper Chichester died March 2, 2017 at her son's home. Born in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti, daughter of the late Edouard and Amy Richardson Goldenberg, she came to the United States in 1949, settling in Chester. She lived in Ridley Park before moving to Upper Chichester 44 years ago.
Gisele was employed as a Teacher's Assistant for the Delaware County Intermediate Unit. She was a member and Ordinary Minster at St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church and had previously been a member of St. John Fisher R.C. Church. She enjoyed water aerobics at the Rocky Run YMCA but most important was time spent with her family and friends.
She was wife of the late Edward T. Wasno who died November 1, 1990 and sister of the late Hans and Edward Goldenberg.
She was loving mother to Edward (Kathryn), Robert M., and Michael (Annette) Wasno and their children Justin and Veronica Wasno and Joyce M. Padgett (Richard) and their children James and Matthew Padgett, sister of Ella Goldenberg, Ingrid Sarmento, Karla Shull (Thomas), Amy Gulla and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial Mass 10 AM Wednesday at St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church, 1901 Chester Pike, Eddystone, PA 19022 where friends may call after 9 AM. Burial Private.
A very giving person in life, also in death Gisele has donated her body to continue helping others.
