Gilda E. "Jill" Puracchio Gorgone, of Ridley Park died January 30, 2016 at Crozer Keystone Hospice at Taylor. Born and raised in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Evelyn D'Antonio Puracchio and moved to her late residence 59 years ago.
Jill was a graduate of Overbrook High School, class of 1947 and worked for PNS Ravioli Company in Philadelphia for over 30 years. She was a member of the Church of St. Madeline and through the years, had been active with the Democratic Party, serving as Judge of Elections. Jill looked forward to her monthly "cousins" luncheon and was an active and enthusiastic member of the Silver Sneakers Program at the Ellis Athletic Center where she met and had many friends. Most important to Jill was the devotion she held for her loving family.
She was predeceased by her husband, John A. "Johnny Buck" "Beaver" Gorgone, who died November 11, 1998.
Survivors: loving mother of Deborah A. Horner (Marc), John Gorgone (Nancy) and Nicholas A. Gorgone; sister of Phyllis Ioppolo and Carmela Puracchio; grandmother of Jonathon, Megan, Samantha, John, Nicholas and Alex; and great grandmother of Sam, Max, Corri and Eva
Visitation: 7:00-9:00 PM Thursday, February 4, 2016 and after 9:00 AM at White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park, PA 19078.
