Obituary

Gertrude M. "Trudy" Coyle Campbell, 91, of Ridley Park died March 20, 2021 at Broomall Rehab and Nursing Center.  Born and raised in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Gertrude Gallagher Coyle and moved to her late residence 61 years ago.

Trudy was a graduate of West Catholic High School for Girls, class of 1947 and a member of The Church of St. Madeline, where she was an active volunteer, taught CCD, ran the Travel Club and was the Prefect for the Sodality.  She was a member of the Ridley Park Seniors, loved Sea Isle City at the beach, was an avid Neil Diamond fan and enjoyed cooking, baking and holiday traditions, but most important was her loving and devoted family.  Trudy was lovingly known as "Nana" by everyone.

She was predeceased by her husband of 25 years, John E. Campbell, who died April 26, 1977; her daughter, Jeanne M. Campbell, who died June 3, 2006; and her siblings, Joseph Coyle and Patricia A. Cannon.

Trudy was the mother of Rosemary Pierce (Philip) and John J. Campbell; grandmother of Christopher Pierce (Ashley), Kevin Pierce (Cameron), Kimberly Farrington (Robert) and Timothy Pierce (Sally); also, survived by six great grandchildren.

Funeral Mass:  10:30 AM Thursday, March 25, 2021 at The Church of St. Madeline, 400 Morton Ave., Ridley Park, PA 19078, where relatives and friends may call from 9:30-10:15 AM.

Burial:  SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery
