Geraldine L. Decker 91, a resident of Aston for 60 years, died December 14, 2020 at Sunrise of Granite Run. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Evelyn Hunsicker Kreiner.
Geraldine was last employed as a switchboard operator at Sun Oil Company and previously worked at Bell Telephone and Scott Paper. She was a graduate of John Bartram High School, class of 1947 and was a member of Green Ridge Baptist Church, the Aston Seniors and the Aston Women's Club. She served as President and Vice President of the TLA (To Live Again), was active with the Girl Scouts of Delaware County for over 40 years, was an expert seamstress and was known for her baking.
Geraldine was the wife of the late William T. Decker, her husband of 37 years who died in 1989; mother of the late Cheryl L. Sauder (Barry) of Glenmoore; and sister of the late Richard Kreiner, Madge Winner and Patsy Dougherty.
She is survived her children, Cynthia J. Gill of Garnet Valley and William T. Decker, Jr. (Patricia) of Atglen; her grandchildren, Sara Mangiaracina, Jennifer Gill, Chrissy Gill, Jessica Decker, Holly Decker, Christopher Sauder and Sean Sauder; also, her great grandchildren, Sophia and Lila Mangiaracina and Lydia Decker; and her beloved cat, Taffy.
Graveside service 1PM Monday, December 21, 2020 at Mt. Hope Cemetery, 4010 Concord Rd., Aston, PA.
