Obituary

Georgiana V. (nee Veit) Hagen, 97, of Ridley Park died on November 28, 2022.  Born in Broken Arrow, OK, she was the daughter of the late George Henry and Frieda Schmidt Veit.

Before her retirement, Georgiana was employed as an Administrative Assistant at Meisner Chevrolet and had previously worked for Intertel and the Pennsylvania Railroad.  She was formerly a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church where she sang in the choir and had also been a member of the Ridley Community Chorus.  Georgiana sang with the Norman Petty Ensemble and Trio throughout the United States, she joined the trio in the 1950's and was featured as a solo female vocalist.  Her distinctive stage personality and voice roamed through a song like it was meant just for you and won the hearts of audiences everywhere.
She was the loving wife of the late Charles S. "Bud" Hagen, mother of Charles A. "Todd" Hagen (Linda) and Angela L. Hagen, grandmother of Charles D. and Juliana M. Hagen, and sister of the late Wilbert and Loyd Veit.
Funeral Service 9:30 AM Thursday, December 1, 2022 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Avenue, Ridley Park, PA where relatives and friends may call 8:30 - 9:30 AM.  Burial will be at 11:15 AM in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Washington Crossing National Cemetery - Google Maps with Military Honors for her husband Charles S. "Bud" Hagen who died on December 19, 2008.
