George A. Robertson, 81, of Millsboro, DE, formerly of Brookhaven, died September 8, 2017 at his home. Born in Chester, he was the son of the late James and Ethel Schall Robertson and resided in Brookhaven before moving to his late residence 20 years ago.
George was a graduate of Chester High School, class of 1953 and Temple University. He proudly served in the U.S Air Force as a Bomb Navigation Radar Specialist on B47 and B52 aircraft from 1954-1958. Subsequently, George worked in electronics and computer technology for RCA and later ADP in Mt. Laurel, NJ, all alongside his late twin brother, Ronald Robertson.
George was foremost a father and family man - a true gentleman who would give the shirt off his back to assist those in need. He enjoyed military history, spending time with his family and being outdoors. George could often be found outside working in his yard. He will be remembered for his kind, selfless and giving nature.
George was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 42 years, Lois (Grant) Robertson, who died in 2007; and his sister, Ginger.
Survivors: his son, Keith Robertson; his daughters, Suzanne Bobey (Darryl) and Amy DiBonaventura (Brian); his granddaughter, Madelyn DiBonaventura; and his sister, Shirley Wilhere
Memorial Service: 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at Kings Mill Chapel, 6000 Pennell Road, Media PA, where friends may call after 10:00 AM, followed by a luncheon and life celebration
