George W. Majoros, 86 of Thornton died on August 25, 2026. Born in Philadelphia, the son of the late George and Irene Downey Majoros, he had lived in Media and Glen Mills before moving to Thornton in 1999.
George was a graduate of Monsignor Bonner High School, class of 1958 and had also attended Penn State University. He was a proud veteran of the US Army and owned and operated George Majoros Slip Covers until his retirement in 2018. George was a master chef and enjoyed preparing gourmet meals for friends and family. He also loved music, building models as well as traveling and skiing, but most important was time with his family.
He was the loving husband of 42 years to Nancy Mason Majoros, father of Denise Majoros, Michele Maiale (Peppy) and Patrice Waldenberger (Jim), grandfather of Joe Maiale, Nick Maiale, Steve Maiale, Courtney Dougherty and Dan Waldenberger and he was the brother of Barbara Majoros and the late Ronnie Majoros and Dolores Lallone and is also survived by nieces, a nephew and cousins.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, September 2, 2026 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park where relatives and friends may call after 10 AM.
