George C. Hutchins III, 71, of Ridley Park died on September 2, 2025 at Kindred Hospital.

He graduated from Girard College in 1972. He later obtained a degree in Electronic Technology and worked on a ship that searched for oil-bearing rock in the South China Sea and the North Sea. He volunteered on the Ridley Park Tree Commission and a community theater group, The Barnstormers. George was a good cook and was famous for his Irish Stew and his Grandmother's soda bread. He loved getting together with his Girard College friends. He enjoyed parties and he always controlled the kitchen or grill.

George was predeceased by his father George C. Hutchins, Jr. and his mother Elizabeth Hutchins (nee McConnell), his grandmother Elizabeth Jean McConnell, and his aunt Margaret "Peg" McConnell. He is survived by his sister Susan Hutchins and relatives Edward McConnell , Joyce Stanilka, Tony Stanilka, Kristen McConnell Runge, Kelley McConnell, Joy Stanilka, and Megan Stanilka.

A private burial will be held at Chester Rural Cemetery.
