George J. Chaga, 93, of Lincoln University died May 26, 2019 at his home. Born in Trainer, he was the son of the late Michael and Maria Ivan Chaga and resided in Aston before moving to his late residence in 1993.
George served in the US Army during WWII at Normandy Omaha Beach and was employed by BP, formerly Sinclair Refinery as an Operator. He was a member of the American Legion Post #926 and enjoyed bowling, fishing, hunting, and playing the daily lottery, but most important was his family.
George was predeceased by his brothers, Michael Chaga, Jr. and John Chaga.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Eloise Banks Chaga; his children, George M. Chaga (Marge), Michael E. Chaga (Doris), Debra Chaga (Alex) and Charlotte Coverdale (Karl); also, six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
