Brookhaven, PA – Geneva Dallas (Quesenberry) Nemeth, 93, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, May 15, 2023.
Geneva was born in the Lying-In Department of Philadelphia Hospital on September 15, 1929, to her parents, Arnold Dexter and Grace Quesenberry.
She was a bright student who loved school. She was the editor of the yearbook and graduated salutatorian of the Ridley Township High School Class of 1948.
After graduation, Geneva worked for 13 years as a bookkeeper at Medford Meat Company. There, she met the love of her life, her sweetheart John. They were married at Saint Matthews Lutheran Church on October 3, 1959, and they have been "better together" for the past 63 years. A devoted Christ-follower, Geneva was a committed member of the local church. She attended Saint Matthews Lutheran Church as a child and teenager and later became a member of North Chester Baptist Church. She was active in Bible study, taught Sunday school, and served as a Deaconess and Head of the Missionary Group.
She was a Godly woman, a devoted wife, and a faithful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be most remembered for her deep faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, her bright and cheerful spirit, and her gift of encouragement to others. She wrote thousands of handwritten cards to friends and family throughout her lifetime, a ministry that touched the lives of many. She was a gifted artist who loved to crochet, sing hymns, and do crossword puzzles. Geneva loved the Lord with all her heart. Her well-worn Bible was a testament to her faith, hope, and trust in Him. Her favorite scriptures were Psalm 23 and Isaiah 41:10, and her life motto was "trust and obey."
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but we grieve with hope.
We celebrate Geneva's life well lived in service to her Savior and rejoice in the hope of reuniting with her in heaven one day.
Geneva is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years, John, daughter Jackie (husband Jim) Krimmel, daughter Jennifer (husband Donnie) Stalker, granddaughter Megan (husband Al, son Andrew) Wong, granddaughter Lauren (husband Kevin) Rimando, grandson Jack, brother Evans Dexter (wife Sue) Quesenberry, two nephews and one niece and their families.
A private family celebration of life service is planned, and Geneva will be laid to rest at Edgewood Memorial Park, in Glen Mills, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to North Chester Missionary Fund ( www.northchesterbaptist.net )
