Obituary

Gary J. Nattress 56, of Prospect Park, PA passed away at home on April 18, 2014 surrounded by his loving family and friends after a valiant battle with cancer.

Born at Taylor Hospital in Ridley Park, he was raised and educated in Norwood and was a 1975 graduate of Interboro High School.

Gary and his wife Susan were co-owners of Cheney's on the Pike Bar and Grille in Wilmington, DE for the past five years. He was previously employed at the family truck company in Colwyn, B&D Trucking, as a driver and dispatcher for 35 years.

Gary enjoyed playing pool (winning the 1991 International Pool Championship for his family's bar the Burgundy Lounge). Gary enjoyed spending his summers boating on the Chesapeake Bay with his wife, daughters and friends, and treating his wife to vacations and was an avid Phillies and Green Bay Packers fan. He also adored his cat "Isabella," his best buddy.

Gary is preceded in death by his father Cheney R. Nattress, Sr.

Survivors: His mother Mary (nee Ward) Nattress; his beloved wife of 19 years Susan (nee Shank); children, Ashley and Kirstie; brothers Bob(Jeannie), Billy, and David Nattress and sisters Mariann Nattress and Judi Piechule (John);also numerous nieces, many great nephews, one great niece and many close friends.

Calling Hours: Friends and relatives are invited to call from 9 to 10:30AM Wednesday at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park 19078. Burial to follow immediately at Edgewood Memorial Park, 325 Baltimore Pike, Glen Mills, PA 19342.
