Fred E. Racine, Jr., 99, formerly of Aston, died April 21, 2015 at Banner Hospice in Sun City West, AZ.
Born in Chester, he was the son of the late Frederick E. and Lillian Elliott Racine. He moved to his late residence in 2007.
Fred served in the US Army during WWII and received the EAME Theater Ribbon, the Asiatic Pacific Theater Ribbon and the Good Conduct Ribbon. He was employed as a custodian for the Penn Delco School District before retiring in 1981. Fred was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church and was passionate about volunteering. He coached basketball and baseball for almost 50 years in the Aston Middletown Athletic Association and was recognized for his volunteerism numerous times.
Fred was predeceased by his brother, Warren W. Racine (Janet) and his sister, Beulah Secci.
He is survived by his niece Patricia Racine Kaplan (Mike) and his nephew, Michael Racine; also his great nephew, Justin Racine and his great niece, Alicia Racine, and foster son Frank Longacre, Sr.
Funeral Service: 8:00PM Thursday, April 30, 2015 at The White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 3551 Concord Road, Aston where friends may call after 7:00 PM
Burial: 2:00 PM Friday, May 1, 2015 at Lawn Croft Cemetery
