Fred Joseph DiDomenico, age 93, of Ridley Park died peacefully on March 29, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. Fred was kind man who made friends everywhere he went. He was born in Southwest Philadelphia on November 9, 1930. Fred was a graduate of Bartram High School. He served as a United States Marine from 1952-1954 and was a Ridley Park mailman for 35 years. He later became a bus driver for the Marple Newtown School district and The Westtown School. He loved fishing, baking, softball, and music. Fred played on many championship softball teams until the age of 91, and won medals in several Senior Olympics. Most of all Fred loved his family, his many friends and team mates.
Fred was predeceased by his loving wife; Elizabeth "Betty" Loomer DiDomenico, brothers; Jim and George DiDomenico, and sisters; Rose Glodek and Nora Maier.
He is survived by his brother Jerry DiDomenico, children; Michael DiDomenico (Veronica) Carol Havard (Dave), John DiDomenico (Lisa), grandchildren; Gina Cocco, Jaclyn Mulvena (Paul) Marianna Judge (Brian), Tianna Lester (Justin) and Shawn Havard. his companion Joan Wallace and his many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral Service 11 AM Friday, April 5, 2024 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park where relatives and friends may call 9:45 to 10:45 AM.
