Frank X. Clarke, 88, of Swarthmore died March 16, 2018 at Vitas Hospice at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital. Born in Merchantville, NJ, son of the late Howard Boote and Helen Corkery Clarke, he lived in Ridley Park, Malvern, Devon and Williamsport, PA before moving to his late residence 29 years ago.
Frank was a veteran of the US Navy, serving as a member of Seabees during the Korean War. He was last employed as a Superintendent for L.F. Driscoll Construction Management for 30 years and had previously worked for the Sun Oil Company and the Security and Exchange Commission. Frank was a Life Member and past Fire Chief of the Malvern Fire Company and Ridley Park Fire Company #1.
He was predeceased by his siblings William B. Clarke, John A. "Jack" Clarke, Raymond G. Clarke, Rosanne Brennan and Geraldine Clymer and grandsons Rhian Kozen and Andrew Cogar.
Frank is survived by his wife Barbara Ann Bardo Reiff Clarke, children Frank X. Clarke (Suzanne), Melissa D. Shirley (Brian Wright) and Katherine D. Kozen (Scott Paulhamus), step-children Christopher Reiff and Stephen A. Reiff (Mary), also seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral Liturgy 11 AM Saturday, March 24, 2018 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park where relatives and friends may call after 10 AM. Burial private.
Memorial gifts may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Shriner's Hospital for Children.
