Francis J. "Fran" Beers, 80, of Glenolden died March 24, 2021 at Riddle Memorial Hospital.  Born in Darby, he was the son of the late Francis J. and Cecelia McGinley Beers and resided in Newtown Square before moving to his late residence 25 years ago.

Fran was a graduate of West Catholic High School for Boys, class of 1958, and was employed by the American College of Physicians as a Manager of the Printing Department for 38 years before retiring.  He was an avid coin collector, loved Philadelphia sports, was a supporter of the ASPCA and loved animals.  Fran enjoyed time with his caring neighbors, but most important was time with his cherished family.

He is survived by his sons, Jeff A. Beers (Danielle) and Mark D. Beers (Judy); his sisters, Pat Beers Nugent and Eileen Beers Brawley (Tom); and his grandchildren, Josh, Alyssa, Jackson, Nathan, Naomi, Juniper Beers.

No funeral or memorial service is currently planned. Close friends and family will be notified in the future when a service is scheduled.
