Frances T. (nee Millard) McCarthy, 86 of Ridley Park, passed away on March 13, 2015.
Fran was a resident of Ridley Park and a member of St. Madeline Parish for 83 years before moving to Little Flower Manor in Darby where she received excellent care by a devoted staff. She was a graduate of Notre Dame High School, Moylan and completed training as a medical technologist at Fitzgerald Mercy Hospital. She was pre-deceased by her husband Joseph F. McCarthy, her son Gerald J. McCarthy, parents Thomas and Hannah Millard, sisters Catherine Brinkmann and Mary Ann Fadden.
Survivors: her children, Kathleen McCarthy Kivitz (Ed), Joseph G. McCarthy, Mary Carpenter, her grandchildren Lynn Smith (Brady), Mary Kate Carpenter, Cathy Lee DiCristino (Rob), Ben Carpenter, Julianne Carpenter, Brain P. McCarthy and three great-grandsons, Ronin and Lochlan Smith and Bobby DiCristino.
Visitation: 7 to 9 PM Wednesday at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave, Ridley Park
Funeral Mass: 10 AM Thursday at The Church of St. Madeline, Penn St. and Morton Ave., Ridley Park.
Interment: SS Peter & Paul Cemetery
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Little Flower Manor, 1201 Springfield Rd., Darby, PA 19023 would be appreciated by the family.
