Frances M. "Fran" McDowell Hook, 85
Of Upland, PA died January 4, 2011 at The Wallingford Nursing Home. Born in Chester she was daughter of the late Stanley L. and Katherine Neiman McDowell.
Mrs. Hook has lived in Upland for the past 62 years, previously residing in Chester. She was previously employed by Troy Laundry and Chester Hospital. She enjoyed being with her family and friends, going on trips to the casino and going for rides in the country, especially to Lancaster.
Mrs. Hook was sister of the late William L. McDowell and Stanley L. McDowell.
Survivors: her devoted husband of 64 years Nicholas Hook, her children Dennis Hook (Anna) of Boothwyn and Denise Burgess (Norman) of Woodlyn, and her sister Marie Sbandi (Vincent) of Boothwyn. Also survived by three grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral Mass: 10 AM Monday at Our Lady of Charity R.C. Church, 231 Upland Road, Brookhaven.
Visitation: 7 to 9 PM Sunday and 8:15 to 9:15 AM at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Avenue, Ridley Park
Burial: SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.
