Frances M. Lawler, 96, of Ridley Park, died April 21, 2020 at Rosewood Gardens. Born and raised in Chester, she was the daughter of the late Victor G. and Frances Friel Lawler. She resided in Ridley Park from 1971 until October of 2019, when she moved to Rosewood Gardens.
Fran attended St. Michaels School and graduated from Notre Dame High School for Girls, class of 1942. She was employed by First Fidelity Bank as a Secretary for 18 years before retiring in 1986. Fran previously worked for Delaware County Plasters for 24 years. She was devoted to her Catholic Faith and was a member of the Church of St. Madeline and formerly St. Michael's Parish in Chester, where she volunteered with many church activities. Fran also volunteered at Taylor Hospital. She was an avid reader and loved the theater, the shore, swimming and boating.
Fran was predeceased by her siblings, Alice L. McGee, Irene L. Zajano and Victor G. Lawler.
She is survived by her eight loving nieces and nephews, Michael Zajano, David Zajano, Mary McLaughlin, William McGee, Elaine Zajano, Joan McGee, John Zajano and Ruth McGee.
