Frances K. "Fran" Sides Orio, 85 of Eddystone and Ocean City, NJ died April 17, 2012 at Crozer Keystone Hospice at Taylor Hospital. Born in Chester, Mrs. Orio was a lifelong resident of Eddystone.

She was a graduate of St. Rose Grammar School and Eddystone High School, Class of 1946. Fran was employed as a clerk at the County of Delaware Court House and previously worked as a crossing guard for the Borough of Eddystone. She was a member of St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church, the St. Rose Women's Club, volunteered with the CYO and bowled with the St. Rose of Lima League. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Eddystone Fire Company and active with the Eddystone Boys Club. Fran enjoyed the beach and boardwalk in Ocean City, NJ. Most important was her devotion to her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was daughter of the late Paul, Sr. and Kathryn Gallagher Sides, and sister of the late Paul and Charles Sides, Sarah Snyder, Dorothy Carter and Helen Ritchey.

Survivors: her husband of 63 years, Thomas A. Orio, Sr., mother of Thomas A. Orio, Jr. (Gail) and Karen M. Jolly (Daniel), grandmother of Robert (Tara), Richard (Julie) and Thomas, III (Courtney) Orio, Lisa Ferri (Ronald), Daniel, IV (Cristina), Brett and Kevin Jolly, great-grandmother of Luke, Ben, Lili, Jack, Holden, Charlie, Max and soon to be baby boy Orio.

Funeral Mass: 10 AM Saturday at St. Rose of Lima, R.C. Church, Simpson St. and Chester Pike, Eddystone

Visitation: 7 to 9 PM Friday at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park and 9 to 9:45 AM Saturday at the church

Burial: Eastlawn Cemetery
