Frances C. "Fran" Certo DiTizio, 92, formerly of Prospect Park, died January 20, 2017, at Riddle Memorial Hospital. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Carmela Mondi Certo.


Fran was a graduate of South Philadelphia High School, class of 1942 and a member of St. Gabriel's R.C. Church. She was a homemaker extraordinaire and a loving mother to all her children and grandchildren. Fran was also an accomplished and celebrated artist who created many beautiful oil and watercolor masterpieces which adored her home.


Fran was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Henry "Hank" DiTizio, who died September 22, 2012; brother, Peter Certo, and sisters, Martha DiCocco, Mildred Vanelli, Sarah Certo and Rita Mangano.


Survivors: Sons, Dr. Robert P. DiTizio (Kate); Richard M. "Rick" DiTizio (Phyllis); and Daughter, Carol F. Dalessio (Joseph); also, ten Grandchildren and one Great-Grandson.


Viewing from 11:00 AM-12:00 Noon on Friday, January 27, 2017, followed by Funeral Liturgy at White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park, PA 19078.
