Fotini "Fifi" Kefalas (née Pahides), 90, of Wallingford, PA passed away peacefully at her home May 13, 2017. Born December 21, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Pandelis "Peter" and Despina (née Helios) Pahides. She was raised in Marcus Hook, PA, graduating from Ridley Park High School in 1944. She lived in Chester and Eddystone, PA, before moving to Wallingford in 1968.
Fifi married John Kefalas in 1945 and they lived a full life together for 65 years. Fifi loved and was dedicated to her family. Proud of her Greek heritage, she was a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church, where her father was a founding member. She served the church in the Daughters of Penelope, the Chion Society, the Choir and as director of the Sunday School. She was employed by Fidelity Bank, now Wells Fargo, before retiring in 1984. After her retirement, she remained with the bank as a consultant for five years. Fifi enjoyed cooking and working with her husband at Catering by Kefalas. After their retirement, Fifi and her husband, John, enjoyed many happy years at their home in Delray Beach, FL where they were active members of St. Mark's Greek Orthodox Church in Boca Raton, FL. Her greatest passion was her family. She loved her husband and loved being with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Fifi was predeceased by her husband, John H. Kefalas (2010); her daughters, Margaret Kefalas Dougherty (2001) and Deborah Kefalas Kollias (2014); and her siblings, Steve P. Pahides and Poppy Chimerakis.
She is survived by her daughter, Theodora Psitos (Demetrios) and son, Harry John Kefalas; grandchildren, Colin, Kara (Tim), Elena (Mike), Tom, Kristina and Michael; great grandchildren, Caroline, Madeline, Henry, Oliver and Margot; son-in-law William Dougherty; sister Jeanne Stamus; many Nephews, Nieces, Godchildren, Koumbari and Dear Friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 10:00AM Thursday, May 18, 2017 at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 30 W. Forge Road, Media, PA 19063 followed by her Funeral Service at 11:00AM. Interment at Lawn Croft Cemetery.
