Obituary
Florence Podziomek "Podzi" Batog 89, formerly of Aston Township, died August 22, 2017. Born in Philadelphia, she lived in Lansdowne before moving to Aston in 2002.
Florence worked as a Retired Senior Volunteer Program Media Coordinator for The Real Help Program for 15 years. She was a member of The Church of St. Joseph. Florence enjoyed reading, sewing, playing Scrabble, building jigsaw puzzles, watching/feeding birds, and preparing holiday meals with her family.
She was the wife of the late Walter Batog, her husband of 48 years, who died in 2004; daughter of the late Edward and Anna Mazuchowski Podziomek and sister of the late Mary Datte, Joseph Podziomek and Alfreda Batog.
Florence is survived by her children, Walter, Jr., Mark, Paul (Sue), Grace Virbitsky (Stephen), Joseph, and Monica; also 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Funeral Mass: 10:30AM Saturday, August 26, 2017 at The Church of St. Joseph, 3255 Concord Rd., Aston where friends may call 9:30 to 10:15AM.
Burial: SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
