Florence A. Martin (nee Griffith, formerly Laxton) 87, a longtime resident of Aston died on May 3, 2026. Born in Chester, she was the daughter of the late Elwood and Mary Broderick Griffith.

Florence was proud to be from the Rockdale section of Aston, where she had fond memories of swimming in the crick and turning colors from the mill's runoff. Along with her late husband Ezekiel "Zeke" Laxton, she owned and operated the T & R Dairy Bar in Aston for over 40 years. She also was also a ceramics teacher.

She was an avid collector of books, jewelry and oil lamps and her hobbies included painting, jewelry making, & crafting. She enjoyed singing "You are my Sunshine", and correcting bad ponies

Florence was preceded in death by her husband Ezekiel "Zeke" Laxton, her second husband Jerry Martin and her brother Charles "Bucky" Griffith.

She is survived by her children Theresa "Terry" Yannuzzi (Rick) and Ronald Laxton (Sheila), her grandchildren, Fuchsia Pologruto (Anthony), Shavon Frankhouser (Rich), Nicole Laxton, Robert Laxton (Alyssa), Ezekiel Laxton, Theresa Laxton (Mike) and Elizabeth Laxton (Sam), she is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.

Burial Rite and Eucharist Service will take place at 11 AM on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at Resurrection Episcopal Church, 2131 Mount Rd, Aston where relatives and friend may call after 10 AM.

Entombment will follow in Lawn Croft Cemetery.
