Fay J. Somes Beebe 85, of Swarthmore, died on December 2, 2013 at Crozer-Keystone Hospice at Taylor. Born in Salisbury, MD, she lived in Ridley Township prior to moving to her late residence 10 years ago.



Fay was a graduate of Chester High School, class of 1946. She worked at Scott Paper Company and previously as a teller at Fidelity Bank. Fay was a volunteer at Crozer Chester Medical Center and Taylor Hospital. She attended the School House Seniors and enjoyed reading, Phillies, Dancing With the Stars and Dancing at the Redwood.

Fay was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Chester O. Beebe, who died in August 1992, and her mother and step-father Helen Winfree Jennings and Paul Jennings.


Survivors: mother of Pamela A. Rule (Pete), Craig C. Beebe (Beverly) and Christine B. Palo (Charles); grandmother of Noelle Murtha, Brian Rule, Brianna Verish, Chance Beebe, Ashley Beebe, Jessica Palo and Kirsty Palo; also six great grandchildren.


Funeral Service: 10:30 AM Friday, December 6, 2013 at White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park, where friends may call after 9:30 AM.
