Eva M. Voshell Turner, 89, of Dover, DE died February 12, 2011 at Kent General Hospital. Born in Philadelphia daughter of the late Samuel A. and Mary E. Fleming Voshell.
Mrs. Turner was reared in the West End of Chester and resided in Aston and Chattanooga, TN before moving to Dover four years ago. She was a graduate of Chester High School, Class of 1937. She was secretary for Aston Township for over 20 years retiring in 1983. She was a member at St. James Episcopal Church where she was a vestryperson, served on the Altar Guild and was a volunteer bookkeeper. She was an avid reader and enjoyed sewing and traveling. Mrs. Turner was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Mrs. Turner was wife of the late Franklin "Frank" W. Turner who died June 18, 1993 after 51 years of marriage. She was also sister of the late Roberta Haupt.
Survivors: children, Eva T. King (Robert) of Dover, DE and Donna Renee Pitcher (Vernon Wilson) of Frederalsburg, MD, sister, Elizabeth "Betty" White of Aston. Also survived by seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral Service and Visitation: 11 AM Saturday at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 3551 Concord Road, Aston where friends may call after 9 AM.
