Eugenia "Jen" Hughes (nee Zaruba), 98 a lifelong resident of Ridley Township died on January 1, 2024.  Born in Crum Lynne, she was the daughter of the late George and Alexandra Holownic Zaruba.
Jen was a graduate of Ridley Township High School, class of 1943 and was employed as a billing clerk at Tri-County Hospital until her retirement in 1986.  She was a member of St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church in Chester as well as St. Herman of Alaska Orthodox Church in Glen Mills.  Jen enjoyed taking trips to the casinos in Atlantic City.
She was the wife of the late Leroy A. Hughes, Jr. who died on August 23, 2008 after 59 years or marriage, mother of Carol J. Curnoles (Wayne), Leroy A. Hughes, III (Carol) and Barbara A. Masishin (Jonathan), she was predeceased by two brothers and a sister and is also survived by seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
