Eugene G. Schrader, 96, of Lester died on July 17, 2023 at his home.  Born in Midland, PA, he was the son of the late Carl Nelson and Marie Elizabeth Braun Schrader.
Eugene was a graduate of West Catholic High School for Boys, class of 1945 and also attended Pennsylvania Military College and Penn State University.  Eugene was a proud veteran of the US Navy, serving during World War II.  He had been employed as a Pattern Maker at Westinghouse for 38 years before his retirement in 1985.  Eugene was a member of St. Gabriel R.C. Church and was an Associate Pennsylvania Game Protector.  He was an avid wood worker and designed and built his home is Lester. Eugene also enjoyed hunting and fishing, but most important was his devoted and loving family.
He was the loving husband of 72 years to Doris L. Pyle Schrader, father of Wayne G. Schrader (Kimberly), Paul D. Schrader (Linda) and Eugene G. Schrader, Jr. (Donna), brother of the late Mildred Schrader Causse, Carl N. Schrader and Donald Schrader.  He is also survived by five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
