Esther D. "Mickey" Doyle (nee Higler), 96, a lifelong resident of Eddystone died on June 3, 2025, in the house she was born in, with her daughter Paula by her side.

Mickey was a graduate of Eddystone High School, class of 1948 and had worked as a secretary at Baldwin Lima Hamilton Locomotive.  She was a member of Eddystone United Methodist Church where she was a Trustee for Life.  Mickey was a lifelong member and past President of the Eddystone Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and also a lifelong member of the Delaware County Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.  Mickey was also Eddystone's first elected Councilwoman and was the former President of the PTA.  She loved traveling, animals, music and spending time with her family.

She was the wife of the late Paul Doyle, mother of Paula E. Doyle, aunt of Lynne Brooks and James Brooks (Judy), daughter of the late Joseph J. and Esther A. Higler, sister of the late Charles Higler and Emma Brooks and aunt of the late Charles and Donald Higler.
Funeral Service 10:30 AM Friday, June 13, 2025 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park where relatives and friends may call after 9:30 AM.  Burial Chester Rural Cemetery.
