Ernest H. Collins, 84 of Ridley Park died on November 22, 2024. Born in Glen Mills, the son of the late Ernest H. and Norma O'Sullivan Collins, he lived in Southwest Philadelphia before moving to Ridley Park in 1960.

Ernest was a graduate of John Bartram High School, class of 1958 and attended both Temple and West Chester Universities.  He owned and operated Swarthmore Travel as well as many other business ventures, most recently he was employed as a School Bus Driver by the Ridley School District.  Ernest had his pilot's license which he used to fly air freight and was a member of the Swarthmore Rotary Club.  He was also an accomplished musician that enjoyed playing the bass guitar, he also owned the Philadelphia Athletic Softball Team and was a longtime Philadelphia Eagles season ticket holder.

He was the husband of the late Catherine Lhulier Collins, father of Dane Ernest E.H. Collins (Kerri), brother of Norma Piilani Purcell (Irwin), Jackqueline Paola Sylvia Tevaga (late Pisona T. Tevaga) and the late Marilyn Maile Dunn and Catherine Leialoha Inesi, he is also survived by his grandchildren Annabel Patsy Maile Collins and Louis John Hiilei Collins.

Services will be held privately.
