Obituary
Elmira M. Bowen Carpenter, 87, of Upper Chichester died July 18, 2015 at Brinton Manor. Born in Philadelphia, daughter of the late Leroy C. and Carrie Stinsman Bowen.
Mrs. Carpenter was a member of the Aston Presbyterian Church and the Upper Chichester Senior Citizens. She loved sewing, baking and spending time with her family and especially her many friends.
She was wife of the late John W. Carpenter who died April 6, 2007 after 59 years of marriage, mother of the late Clifford J. Carpenter who died in in 1955 and sister of the late Leroy C. and Joseph Bowen.
Survivors: two sons and their wives, four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral Service: 10 AM Wednesday at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 3551 Concord Rd. Aston where friends may call after 9 AM.
Burial: Glenwood Memorial Gardens
