Elizabeth "Betty" M. Plough Bowman, 89 died September 17, 2011 at Naaman's Creek Country Manor.

Born in Philadelphia, she lived in Ridley Township and Wallingford before moving to her late residence four years ago.
She was a member of the Leiper Presbyterian Church, and also enjoyed traveling, cooking and reading, but most important to her was her family, especially her grandchildren.

Mrs. Bowman was wife of the late Russell E. Bowman, her husband of 64 years, who died September 28, 2007, mother of the late Russell E. Bowman, Jr, who died in 1977 and David R. Overcash who died in 2009, daughter of the late Erich K. and Mary MacKnight Plough and also sister of the late Katherine Plough, Alice Smith, and William Plough.

Survivors: her children; Alan L. Bowman (Ildiko), Katherine D. Marquis (Bert) and Shelly B. Harris (William), seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral Service 10:00AM Thursday at the Leiper Presbyterian Church, 900 Fairview Rd., Swarthmore, PA 19081.

Visitation Wednesday 7 to 9 PM at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park and Thursday 9 to 9:45AM at the Church.

Burial: Chester Rural Cemetery.
