Elizabeth M. "Betty" Janczuk 91 of Lester, died suddenly at home on March 3, 2023.

Born in Philadelphia to the late William and Elizabeth Severns Wethman and has lived at her late residence since 1959.

Betty was a former member of St. Margaret Mary Alacoque R.C. Church, now the Church of St. Gabriel R.C. Church in Norwood. She was also a member of the Tinicum Seniors and the Tinicum Swim Club.

Betty was an avid Philadelphia sports fan, especially the Phillies. She enjoyed watching old Western movies; car trips with her husband and going to the Jersey Shore. Betty was also an avid vegetable gardener.

She was a graduate of West Catholic High School, class of 1949.

Betty was the loving wife of the late Walter S. Janczuk, her husband of 45 years, who died in 1997 and sister of the late William Wethman, Norman Wethman, twin sisters Evelyn Kane and Frances Danowski and Warren Wethman.

Betty was the devoted mother of Elizabeth T. "Betsy" Janczuk; also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass 10:30 AM Thursday, March 9, 2023 at St. Gabriel R.C. Church, 233 Mohawk Ave., Norwood, PA 19074 where relatives and friends may call from 9:15 until 10:15AM. Burial Holy Cross Cemetery.
