Elizabeth S. Oxenford Higgins, 87 of Garnet Valley, died June 12, 2012 at the home of her daughter Bonnie with she and Barbara by her side.
Born in Brookhaven, she lived in Chester before moving to her late residence 58 years ago.
She was last employed as a Nurse's aide at Fair Acres Geriatric Center. Mrs. Higgins attended Brandywine Valley Church and was a member of the Concord Senior Citizens, but most important was her devotion to her family.
She was wife of the late Robert Leroy Higgins, her husband of 46 years, who died October 3, 1988, mother of the late Lurlen W. Higgins, who died in 1967 and Robert Lurlen Higgins, who died in 1944, daughter of the late Henry Richard and Frances Ford Oxenford and predeceased by four sisters and one brother.
She is mother of Bonnie M. Hampton, Barbara A. Pharaoh, Sandra E. Graney, and Craig W. Higgins, also survived by 10 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.
Funeral Service 10:00AM Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 3551 Concord Rd., Aston where friends may call after 9:00AM. Burial Glenwood Memorial Gardens.
