Elizabeth Wright "Betsy" Anderson, 89, of Swarthmore died June 29, 2016 at Vitas Hospice at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital. Born in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Robert McEldowney and Elizabeth Jane Aikins Wright and resided in Franklin, PA before moving to her late residence 59 years ago.

Betsy was a graduate of Vassar College, class of 1948 and the University of Pittsburgh, class of 1951. She was Vice President of Bellwether Corporation and previously worked for the Swarthmore School District in elementary education. Betsy was a member of the Swarthmore U.M. Church for 63 years. She was a world traveler and an avid reader.

Betsy was predeceased by her siblings, Sarah Greve, Anne Curran and Robert McEldowney Wright.

Survivors: wife to James Moser Anderson, her husband of 65 years; mother to Samuel James Anderson (Marie), Susan Jane Hunter, Joseph Paul Anderson (Jennifer) and Thomas Robert Anderson; sister to Nancy Wright and Patricia Caldwell (Blair); and grandmother to James Dennis Hunter, Amanda Elizabeth Hunter, Lauren Elizabeth Anderson, Emily Joan Anderson and Elliott William Anderson.
