Elinor J. Eccleston Battinieri, 89, of Folsom and Essington, died on September 6, 2021.  Born in Upper Darby, she was daughter of the late Bayard and Sara Hendricks Eccleston.

Elinor was a graduate of Upper Darby High School, class of 1950.  She was last employed as a secretary and property manager at Century 21 Calderone in Aston and had previously worked at Playtown Park.  Elinor was a member of Ridley Park Presbyterian Church and the Ridley School House Senior Center.  She was an avid reader, who loved traveling and spending time with her family at the New Jersey Shore, her positive energy would light up a room and she always saw the best in everyone.

She was loving wife of the late Ralph N. Battinieri and sister of the late Bayard "Bud" Eccleston (Marguerite), John Eccleston (Nan), Dorothy Larkins (John), Edith Blair (Edward) and Jenny Shaplin (Daniel) and her longtime companion Donald Lovett.

Elinor was mother of Cynthia L. Curry (Jeffrey), Sara Cianci (Nicholas) and Dr.Ralph Battinieri (John), grandmother of Jason, Timothy and Matthew Curry and Alexis Cianci. she was also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service 10 AM Saturday, September 11, 2021 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park where relative and friends may call after 9 AM. Burial Edgewood Memorial Park.
