Eleanor I. "Polly" Tancredi (nee McGuigon), 93, a lifelong resident of Woodlyn died on December 19, 2022.

Polly was a graduate of Ridley Township High School, class of 1947 and was also a graduate of Bourbon Beauty School in Chester. She owned and operated Polly and Me in Woodlyn for 38 years before her retirement and had previously worked at the University of Pennsylvania and Piasecki Aircraft Corporation. Polly was a member of Our Lady of Peace R.C Church and enjoyed going on trips and the casinos, but most important was her devotion to her children, grandchildren and all of her girls from Polly and Me.

She was the loving wife of the late William J. "Slim" Tancredi, mother of Bill Tancredi (Karen), Joe Tancredi (Debbie) and Michael Tancredi (Marcy), grandmother of Dr. William, Grace (Peter), Tess, Melissa (Raghav), Kelly (Rob), Colin, Ashley (John), Nick and Victoria, great-grandmother of Charli, Callie, Nora, Kai and Leo. Polly was daughter of the late Frederick Otis and Elizabeth MacMillian McGuigon and sister of the late Harry R., Frederick O., Charles W. "Bill" and Jeanne McGuigon.

Funeral Mass 11 AM Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at Our Lady of Peace R.C. Church, 208 Milmont Ave., Milmont Park, PA where relatives and friends may call 9:45 to 10:45 AM. Burial Eastlawn Cemetery.
