Eleanor "Ellie" Legnini Brna, 62 of Swarthmore died on November 16, 2024. Born in Serramonacesca, Pescara, Italy, Eleanor immigrated to Philadelphia with her parents and older sister, Lorena. At the age of three, she had to learn English before starting school in South Philadelphia where she resided until she married. She and her husband, John, lived in Wallingford before moving to Swarthmore in 1999.

Eleanor had been employed as a Medical Billing Representative at Healthmark Foot and Ankle Associates for over 10 years. She was a member of St. Kevin R.C. Church in Springfield and was a volunteer and Treasurer for the Friends of the Ridley Township Public Library. Eleanor's hobbies included gardening, drawing, photography and painting but the most important part of her life was her loving family.

She was the wife of John D. Brna, mother of Natalie and Isabelle Brna, daughter of Maria Nicola D'Attilio and the late Antonino Legnini, sister of Lorena Legnini Coche' (Raymond) and Victoria Legnini Bruno (David), aunt of Alessandra Coche', John Andrew Brna, Jeffrey Brna, Juliana Bruno and Gabriella Bruno. She is also survived by her grand-dog, Max.

Funeral Mass 11 AM Saturday, November 23, 2024 at The Church of St. Kevin, 200 W. Sproul Rd., Springfield, PA where relatives and friends may call 9:45 to 10:45 AM.  Burial SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
