Eleanor Lorraine Kimmel (nee Klinger), aged 89, of Aston, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on March 22, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Fred A. Kimmel, and a great grandson, Niikoe Scheitlin.



During WWII Eleanor supported the war effort by working as a welder for Budd Company in Philadelphia. She also worked as a car hop in her early years, later working as a housekeeper, a loving care giver and babysitter. Eleanor had a quick wit and a fun loving spirit, and was well known among her neighbors for her homemade bread. She loved telling jokes and always had plenty of stories to entertain her friends and family.



She is survived and will be sorely missed by her sister, Audris Lichota of Aston, PA, brother Irv Klinger (Kay) of Fort Worth, Texas, children Carol Popowicz (John) of Bridgeport, PA, Edward Kimmel (Jing) of Hampton, VA, Curtis Kimmel (Sharon) of New Castle, DE, Debbie Resinger (Jim) of Dallas, TX, 14 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.





Memorial Services to celebrate Eleanor's life will be held on Monday, April 6, 2015, 12:30 PM at White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 3551 Concord Road, Aston, PA. Friends may call anytime after 12 noon.
