Obituary

Edward Venish (Ed, Eddie), age 82, left us peacefully on October 5, 2023.  Ed was a long-time resident of Aston, PA before relocating to Sun City, SC for 12 years.  He returned to Delaware County in February 2020 to spend time with family and friends as his illness progressed.

Ed was a graduate of St. James High School, Class of 1959, and West Chester University, 1971.  He served in the US Army at Fort Rucker, AL, from 1964-1968, then as a Reservist for two years.  Ed's passion was in photography and nature, and he established his own business as a Professional Photographer in 1986, which he continued for 20 years.  Ed loved spending time with family and friends.  He enjoyed the outdoors and found his love for traveling.  He often spent time with family and friends, over the years, sightseeing, camping, hiking, relaxing on a beach, and of course, taking pictures.  He spent several weeks biking in Europe with friends from SC and his last big trip was to Seattle and Alaska with his sister Michelle and her family.  In SC, Ed continued his love for photography; in addition, he would ride his bike, swim, play pickleball, line dance, and travel in his RV. He was also happy just sitting outside and catching up with his neighbors, which became his friends.

Ed is the son of the late Edward and Alfreda (Peda) Venish. Ed and his former wife (Janet Spear Venish) had two children. Ed was well loved by his daughters Nicole Venish and Lauren Williamson, grandchildren Robert Mullarkey, George Mullarkey, Mackenzie Williamson, and Theodore Mullarkey, as well as his brother Rick Venish, his sisters Sandy Lion (Tom) and Michelle Utz (Curt).  He is survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins, and he will be deeply missed by all.
