Obituary
Edward M. Swantek, 64, of Brookhaven, PA, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2023 surrounded by family. Born and raised in Chester, PA to the late Robert and Alice (Galinis) Swantek, he resided in Linwood, PA for many years before moving to Brookhaven four years ago.
Ed attended Chester High School and became a diesel mechanic by trade, working for Scattolini Motors in Chester for more than 30 years before the business closed. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Local #463, and worked for the Wawa Corporation for the past 18 years.
He
was a kind and quiet man by nature, who loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed cooking big Sunday dinners, grilling with his work buddies, and hosting an annual crab festival every August. He was an avid Philly sports fan (Go Phillies!), and loved taking trips to the Casino. You could always count on him in a pinch, especially his daughters, for whom he was a personal Roadside Assistant!
Ed was predeceased by his wife of 25 years, Nancy M. Campbell, as well as his son Edward Swantek, Jr.
He is survived by his children Jeanne-Marie Schwarzmann (Henry), BJ Campbell (Paula), Annie Walls (James), and Christina Campbell; his brother Bob Swantek (Barbara), his sisters Maggie Baptie (Jeff) and Sue Giddings (Curt), sister-in-law Mary Pitts (Mark), 18 grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, as well as his fur baby, Everest.
Funeral Liturgy 11:00AM Monday, April 3, 2023 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park where relatives and friends may call after 10:00AM. Burial SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial gifts may be made to Providence Animal Shelter, 555 Sandy Bank Rd., Media, PA 19063.
