On Tuesday, March 20, 2018, at the age of 80, Edward K. Rappold passed away suddenly at his home. The son of Edward H and Ruth V Rappold, both deceased, he is survived by his wife, Patricia of Glen Mills, PA, three children, Edward K. Rappold Jr of Lake Wales FL, Susan (Greg) Bratton of West Chester, PA and Patricia (Jeff) Dement of Claymont De. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, Edward K. Rappold III (Renee), Michelle Rappold, Jesse Rappold, Daniel Bratton (Morgan), Kristen Bratton, Sara VanNeerden (Christopher); Amanda Moyer (Matthew) and Jeffery Dement (Rachel) and 11 great grandchildren. He is survived by his sister, Grace Paulson of West Chester, PA, Brothers and Sisters-in-law, Suzy Fussel of Lake Wales FL, Mary Batson of Lake Wales FL, Tinsey and Phyllis Batson of Waverly, FL, Earl and Margaret Batson of Live Oak, FL and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

He graduated from Glen-Nor High School of Glenolden in 1955 and joined the Army upon graduation. He married in 1961 and stayed true until his death to his wife for 56 years. In addition to being a wonderful husband, brother, father, grandfather and great grandfather, he was a gentleman. He was active in numerous clubs and donated many hours to his church(s). He was the President of the Delaware Valley Jaguar Club for a number of years, sailed the Chesapeake Bay and traveled the world in his earlier years, riding motorcycles thru Europe. He never met a stranger and was "Grandpa" to his entire neighborhood. He was employed by Scott Paper Company for 35 years.

A remembrance of his life will occur on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at Resurrection Episcopal Church. Visitation shall occur between 9:30 and 10:45 with a Requiem Eucharist service at 11:00.
