Edward A. Poppert, Jr., 91 of North East, MD died March 12, 2011 at home.
Born in Philadelphia, he lived in Aston before moving to his late residence four years ago.
He was last employed as a Display Manager for Strawbridge and Clothier Department Store.
Mr. Poppert was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps, serving during WWII. He enjoyed sailing, painting water colors, photography, but most important to him was being with his family.
He was husband of the late Madeline McCool Poppert, his wife of 53 years, who died February 6, 1997, son of the late Edward Anthony and Catharine G. Doyle Poppert, and brother of the late Lawrence Poppert.
Survived by his children; Madeline Wood of Lawrenceville, GA, Catharine Anne Poppert of Chester, Bernadette Poppert of Broome Co., NY, Edward A. Poppert, III of Chester, Elizabeth Keener of Newark, DE, Mary Jane Tyrie of Elkton, MD, and Louis Poppert of North East, MD., brothers Bernard L. Poppert of Ashton, MD and Paul Poppert of Acton, ME, also ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral Service 12:00Noon Friday at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 3551 Concord Rd., Aston where friends may call after 11:00AM. Burial St. Thomas the Apostle Cemetery.
