Edward R. McDonald 84 of Aston, died December 11, 2015 at Riddle Memorial Hospital.
Born in Duncott, PA, he was son of the late George A. and Catherine Lipsett McDonald and lived in Yeadon before moving to his late residence 48 years ago.
Ed was an Engineering Manager at Boeing Company, retiring in 1995. He was a graduate of Roman Catholic High School, class of 1948 and Drexel Institute of Technology where he earned his Master's Degree.
Ed was a member of The Church of St. Joseph, where he served as Usher, the St. John's On The Hill Seniors and the American Legion. He was a Decorated Korean War Veteran, serving in the U.S. Air Force. He enjoyed music and played the piano, reading and walking but most important to him was his family.
Ed was the loving husband of Marlene Regler McDonald, his wife of 57 years; father of Kathleen McHugh (Thomas), Maureen E. McDonald, Edward J. McDonald and brother of Joan Greene and Vincent G. McDonald (Maryellen).
Funeral Mass 10:30AM Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at The Church of St. Joseph, 3255 Concord Rd., Aston where friends may call from 9AM to 10:15AM. Burial SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
