Edward S. Kmiec, 87 of Aston died on February 2, 2025 at his home.  Born and raised in Chester, the son of the late Stanley and Laura Lipp Kmiec, he had been a resident of Aston for the past 54 years.

Ed was a graduate of Chester High School, class of 1955. He was an accomplished athlete, excelling in bowling and played softball for the PNA (Polish National Alliance). He had a long career at Scott Paper before his retirement.  Ed was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle R.C. Church, was an avid football fan and enjoyed watching golf.  The most important part of his life was his loving family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was the loving husband of 64 years to Patricia A. O'Hara Kmiec, father of Patricia M. "Trish" Hailstone (Joe), grandfather of Meghan Reskakis (Brendan) and Katie Walter (Dane), great-grandfather of Brantley and Scarlet Walter. Ed is also survived by his brother Robert Kmiec (Peg) and his brother and sister-in-law Thomas and Barbara O'Hara. He was the uncle of Michael, Cathy, Coleen, Tim and Erin. He had a particularly close bond with Michael, supporting him in all his activities.

Funeral Mass 10:30 AM Saturday, February 8, 2025 at St. Thomas the Apostle R.C. Church, 430 Valleybrook Road, Glen Mills, PA  19342 where relatives and friends may call 9:15 to 10:15 AM.  Burial private.
