Obituary

Edward (Ed) Glavin, 65, of Lansdowne passed away on May 7, 2020 at Fitzgerald Mercy Hospital.  Ed was born on November 18, 1954, in Ridley Park. He was born to the late Denis and Rose (Healy) Glavin.

Ed is survived by his daughters, Wendy Blair and Christina (Robert) Piecara and his three grandchildren: Keith, Jasmine, and Eliza. He is also survived by his siblings: Regina "Dolly" (Francis) Lally, Catherine Kennedy, and Denis (Linda) Glavin. Ed had many nieces and nephews and a very good friend Jane Felicetti.

He attended school in the Ridley School District in Ridley Township and was graduate of The Overbrook School For the Blind in Philadelphia.
Ed was a hard worker, despite his blindness, and worked in the food industry for M & M Restaurant Supply for 30 years before moving onto retail management at Target for 10 years.  Ed was fascinated with Lighthouses, loved visiting the ocean, and was an avid reader. He participated in the Multiple Sclerosis fundraising walks, Meals On Wheels, & was involved in the Delaware Valley Blind Bowlers Association for 15 years.

A Memorial Service, in his honor, will be planned at a later date for family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the MS Association.
