Edward John Costello 87 of Glen Mills, died on July 26, 2019 at his home.

Born in Havertown, he lived in Gradyville before moving to his late home 24 years ago.

He was the owner of Costello's Auto Repair in Upper Darby for over 30 years, retiring in 1986.

Edward was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle R.C. Church and was a U.S. Army veteran.

He enjoyed birdwatching, star gazing and was a nature enthusiast who painted landscapes and was a self-taught piano player.

Edward was the father of the late Daniel Jude Costello and son of the late Edward James and Anita Meise Costello

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Jean L. Imperiale Costello; his children Matthew C. Costello (Victoria), Nancy G. Tighe (Ted) and Laura A. Tebbens (Dave); also his siblings Frederick Costello, Mary White, and Margaret Duerr; his grandchildren Edward and Charles Costello, Morgan and Avery Tighe, Leah and Max Tebbens.

Visitation with the family beginning at 9:30AM with a Funeral Mass at 10:30AM Monday, July 29, 2019 at St. Thomas the Apostle R.C. Church, 430 Valleybrook Road, Glen Mills, PA .

Burial SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
