Edward B. Boyd, 88, of Holmes died September 1, 2018 at Fair Acres Geriatric Center. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late John Alexander, Sr. and Jennie F. Brewster Boyd and resided in Swarthmore for 10 years before moving to his late residence 12 years ago.

Edward served in the US Army during the Korean War and was employed by Sorensen Industries in Darby as a Machinist for 41 years before retiring in 1985. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed military history, reading, TV and woodworking.

Edward was predeceased by his first wife, Shirley Anne Miller; his brother, John Alexander Boyd, Jr.; and his sister, Marie Boyd.

Survivors: husband of Celia Luglio Boyd; father of Keith Edward Boyd, Sr. (Cheryl Anne), Kim Rhea (Richard) and Susan Joyce (Jerry); brother of William Boyd (Shirley); grandfather of Kyle Edward Boyd, Keith Edward Boyd, Jr., Daniel Joyce, Janine Chamberlain, Dana Keefer and Cole Rhea; and great grandfather of Olivia Anne Boyd and Jaxson Rhea.
